Take Home An American Mustang!

Don Juan is a Sulphur Mustang Stallion. He is a magnificent red dun with a large dorsal stripe down his back and stripes on all of his legs. His parents were both wild Sulphur Mustangs that lived in a area of Southern Utah located in the rugged Needle Mountain Range close to the town of Cedar City.  This area contains some of the original Spanish-type mustangs common to only a few other very isolated areas in the United States. The herd exhibits characteristics of sooty faces with dorsal stripes, legs stripes, chest stripes and dark rimmed ears. This area is known as the Sulphur Herd Management Area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Don Juan's parents were gathered in the early 1990's and were adopted by private individuals. He was born in captivity from wild ancestry and came to live on the Sanctuary the summer of 2003. His band of mares consist of Sulphur Mustang mares, Kiger Mustang mares and Spanish Mustang mares.
