LOK-N-LOGS offers a selection of standard models which features Ranch, Cape/Loft, Gambrel and full Two-Story type homes - truly a size and shape for everyone. In addition, we offer any of our log home packages with a choice of several log styles, from our signature, rustic looking handpeeled style to the more contemporary appearing shaped finishes, each with its own unique appeal. There are three exterior choices, handpeeled, milled round or conventional clapboard style. Our handpeeled profile is finished by hand with a draw knife, giving each log a unique, natural and more rustic look while our shaped profiles, with their factory milled, smooth finish are uniformly curved for a more classic line.
   There are also three interior profile choices, handpeeled, milled round, or milled flat with a beveled edge. These interior styles may even be mixed within the same log building. You may, for instance, choose to use a handpeeled wall behind a fireplace but use a flat or shaped wall in the kitchen area for ease in hanging cabinets. Log components such as floor joists, rafters and posts may be handpeeled, shaped or square cut to highlight your decorating scheme or to complement your log walls.

    Our ranch models include economical, prefabricated roof trusses but they also include our beautiful pine paneling and decorative log rafters for any cathedral ceiling areas. Our standard model line includes several smaller homes which can serve as starter or retirement homes and also includes a variety of larger homes for larger or growing families. These standard designs serve as starting points from which we can work with your to create a log home floor plan which will meet your specific lifestyle needs - whether your primary concerns are the basic necessity of maximizing living space while minimizing cost, creating luxurious , expansive spaces with all of the amenities you have ever wanted, or, more likely, a blend of efficient design, economy and special touches important to you.
    The staff at LOK-N-LOGS will work with you to help identify and meet your design needs, based on lifestyle, site situation or a host of other variables specific to you. You may choose to add a wing to one of our standard models or you may want to flip the floor plan, end to end or front to back. You may require additional living space increasing the width or length of a certain model, or both. Perhaps you'd like a connecting breezeway or an attached garage. You may want to add porches, dormers or decks and you probably will want to change window and door locations.
