Lavochkin LA-7

The Lavochkin LA-7 was the Soviet Union's last fighter of World War II. The one being modeled is the one flown by the "Ace of Aces" of this war.

This will be a 1/4 scale model from plans by David P. Andersen. They are available free in "PDF" format from his website. My plans were purchased full size through RCM magazine. I will use Century Jet retracts and power with Zenoah G62.

The instrument panel is complete and installed. I made small scale bezels from PVC pipe and the instruments on MS Paint printed on photo paper.

I was fortunate to win the 'Judges Choice' at the 2010 South Dakota Air & Space Museum 'Static Show'
