The Outdoor Channel returns to the Southern Black Hills with its high definition travel show, “Discovering America” where it visits with Dayton Hyde, President and Founder of the Institute of Range and the American Mustang and the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, and Dr. Larry Agenbroad, Site Director and Principal Investigator for the Mammoth Site.

Media Resources, Inc., a Denver based production company and its hosts, video producers, John and Marcie Smith, shot on location at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary and the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs the last week in May 2006.

“Discovering America” visits different US locations, with an emphasis on outdoor recreational opportunities available in that particular area.

The Outdoor Channel features quality programming designed to educate and entertain sportsmen of all skill levels. The channel promotes the traditional outdoor activities that are a vital part of our national heritage including fishing, hunting and shooting sports. The programs are designed to appeal to "traditional sportsmen" of all ages with a focus on activities that the entire family can enjoy in the great outdoors
