Foal Sales: Mustangs

•  Thank you, for your interest in the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary Foal Sales Program. The Horses Helping Horses Program helps to place weanlings, yearlings, two and three year old domestic and wild mustangs born on the Sanctuary into caring and loving families. We do our best to help match up families with the available young horses.  Our program here at the Sanctuary includes young American Wild Mustangs, Spanish and Sulphur Mustangs, and Registered APHA and AQHA horses. All of the available prospects are from weanling up to four years of age.

 • Mustang Sales Program: There were 15 mustang foals born in 2010 and they join the 12 yearlings and 25 two-year old and older mustangs available for purchase. Check out the Mustang Sale pages on this website for prices. Several of the older mustangs have been started under saddle and are ready to go onto advanced training programs.

• Mustang Joy: The decision to limit the breeding in our Horses Helping Horses Program for the mustangs and the registered herd was based on the economy. It is important to us that all of our young horses have loving and caring new families. So we feel with fewer young horses we can do a better job for you! There are still many mustangs available for purchase that were born on the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary.

 • They are all raised on the open range in a natural environment and are given routine veterinarian treatments that help to provide a better quality of life such as worming, vaccinations, minerals, and gelding.
