"Wild and Free, One Man's Vision", a documentary about the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, aired on South Dakota Public Broadcasting April 22, 2007 “Wild and Free, One Man’s Vision” tells the story of the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary. Dayton O. Hyde, founder and a lifelong conservationist and award-winning author, and Susan Watt, program manager of the Sanctuary for many years, were interviewed extensively for this project. The dvd is illustrated with some of the best footage of wild horses running free ever recorded on the sanctuary. This is the most complete visual and audio record of what we have worked so hard to create that exists. How the sanctuary first started, how the management of almost 500 wild horses is closely tied to land and wildlife conservation, and the long-term planning for the sanctuary's future are the main themes. “Wild and Free” demonstrates what 18 years of dedicated research and service can accomplish. It also illustrates what one man’s vision can achieve – saving the horses, saving the land and welcoming more animals to the region -- all supported entirely by tourism and donations. It was produced by Moon Song Productions, LLC Adrienne Kitchen, MSJ Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, President. We are grateful and pleased to announce we have this dvd for sale to benefit the wild horses! Thank you Adrienne and staff!!!! Buy a copy of this dvd for $28.00 (includes shipping) |
