                A near capacity crowd filled the new grandstand facility both days. The weather as sunny and warm. Frontier Days Rodeo is sponsored by the American Legion Otterman Post 94 and the commander and rodeo chairman is Levi Newbold.
Stock was furnished by Bierema Rodeo, Inc. of White River. Scott Huber of Martin was the announcer and the judges were Jerry Krogman, Chuck Harrowa, and Lonny Harrowa. Timers were Ida Krogman and Kristi Newbold. Pickup men were Wade Bolden and Hardy White of Oglala. Kelly Green of Murdo served as rough stock chute boss and Paul Gropper of Long Valley was timed event chute boss.
                A moving and inspiring tribute and memorial was paid to the late great Kyle Evans as his dog "Chico" and his horse were led into the arena by a family member while Kyle's songs were played. Kyle and Chico were at the 2000 Frontier Days Rodeo and were scheduled to appear at the 2001 rodeo until his untimely death on July 4th, 2001.
                Junior Young of O'Neill, NE was the rodeo clown and Ryan Holzer of New Underwood was the bull fighter. Donna Jensen of White River served as secretary assisted by Delpha Fairbanks and Brenda Bierma, both of White River. Serving as arena cleaners were Kip Jensen, Link Tucker and Logan Tucker, all of White River.
