 Then Tobin Lake in Saskatchewan

           is your next destination!

This lake and river system is famous for its population of huge walleye. Tobin set provincial record in '94,'95,'96, and '97, with the latest being 18.06 pounds. This fish was released and still swims the depths of Tobin. These trophy walleye can be caught on rigs, jigs, and crank baits. Come test your skills against some real trophies! Tobin also sports trophy northern pike. The largest known northern weighed in at over 38 pounds! These feisty fish provide hours of quality entertainment for any fisherman. Young or old, novice or pro, nothing gets the heart beating like the thrill of a twenty pound northern testing both you and your tackle.

The immediate area also provides some of the best goose hunting available anywhere. Tobin and the surrounding farm land are the first stop for thousands of Snow and Canada geese after leaving the tundra. This is the first time many of these geese have been called, decoyed, or hunted. As they travel south they get much smarter! Most hunting is done over decoys in the huge fields of wheat and barley within ten miles of the lake. If you have witnessed a flock of geese setting their wings for the decoys then you know how exciting it is. If you haven't, then you are missing one of Mother Nature's greatest treats.
