Welcome to
our site....
We live on a working cattle
ranch on the South Dakota, Nebraska border.
In 1991 we bought a chestnut mare Gunrunners Image from Harley and Ruth
Reile. Their program had consistently produced horses that had a
halter look but could do a multitude of events. So in 1994 we made
Gunrunners Image an Amateur AQHA Champion, and the year of 1997 we
made her an Open AQHA Champion.
In 1998 we bred her to
Deck
Of Stars (Check out Legends V). He is on the All-Time Leading Sire List. His get have
earned over 12'000 points to date with world champions in halter to pleasure
driving. A true all-around sire.
This mare is what we wanted
to base our breeding operation on. She has looks, breeding, cow, speed
and a willing attitude to do what ever you wanted to do. All we had to
do was find a mate....that's where Deck Of Stars came in. I have seen
the Deck horses show and I liked their minds, movement and their looks, what
pretty horses they are. So we feel that we have the best of both
bloodlines.
Guns On Deck 1999 Chestnut
Stallion is the result of the mating. He has foundation
breeding.....Skipa Star, Pat Star Jr, War Bond Leo which is back to Leo, Joe Reed
II, Cowboy P-12, Three Bars, and Sonny Dee Bar,
but has a modern look.
See pedigree page for complete summery.
Guns On Deck is proving to be that really great breeding stallion we hoped
he would be!! He is siring horses with his really good top-line, good legs,
very good movers, and what great dispositions they have.
I really love this
horse and believe that he represents the kind of horse our goal has always
been to raise. Our goal has always been to produce great looking horses
that can be ridden and used with ease and trust.
