This B&B and pet sitting service really made our visit to
South Dakota's Black Hills the nicest vacation we've ever
had. The bedroom suite was beautiful, and the dogs' play
area was safe and inviting. Stephanie's dog savvy made
us extremely comfortable about leaving our furr-babies
with her while we toured the beautiful local caves, bad lands, and shopping districts. We whole-heartedly recommend
this B&B.

Hi - My name is Kip. I am a 3-year old Boxer mix. I live
in Yuma, Arizona in the nice warm weather. I had so much
fun in my own yard while my owners Kathy and Gary were
away doing something - they came back as I knew they would
and invited me up to the beautiful room with a spa (I let
them use it). I even had my own crate. For breakfast I had
some great dog biscuits. Well it is time to have my picture

What a wonderful place! My dog, Ghandi, and I arrived
here after 1450 miles of driving from Napa, California
and found this lovely sanctuary.
These rooms are peaceful and meticulously created with
attention to every detail. Yet it is comfortable to the
soul, so very relaxing. One knows that Stephanie has put
heart and soul into making it so.
Ghandi has had a wonderful time, too. He had to stay here
several times when I couldn't take him and he has been
so happy playing with the dogs Stephanie sensitively chose

Thought I'd write and let you know how much Abby appreciated
the comfortable accommodations that you provided for her
and her family. If you remember the morning we left she
had red swelling around her eyes and you set up an appointment
immediately with your local vet. It was determined that
she had a allergic reaction to something while on our trip.
Abby took Benadryl prescribed to her and got better after
a few days. Your vet and her staff were very caring and
helped us out by keeping Abby for a couple hours while
we toured the Mammoth site. What a wonderful experience
for the boys, David, and I, and we have you to thank for that.
Again, thank you for your wonderful hospitality, compassion,
and love of animals and their owners. Your accommodations
were comfortable, very clean and the breakfast was fabulous!
We will stay again if we are every in the area and will
recommend Anise's BnB4Pets to others who have pets and

Thank you for sharing your home with us; it was quite relaxing for Gary & me. Tyson loved the feathered & fur neighbors that dropped in.
We had a great time in all the parks & saw pretty well all of the large animals (no predators) there were to see. It got to the point where Tyson didn't even bark and seemed to look at us asking, "Okay, what the hell is that?" when he was about 2 feet from a bull bison. Speechless. The reservior is a jewel, so close & absolutely gorgeous. So peaceful. We loved every minute. Thanks for having a place for pet lovers to holiday.

We stayed at Anise's BnB4Pets for two nights. Previously, we had been working at a summer camp, sleeping in a dilapidated cabin on a poor excuse for a bed. From the camp in International Falls, Minnesota, we lead an eleven-day canoe trip in the Canadian Boundary waters, pitching tents on any dry piece of earth we could find. Next we mosied our way through Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, seeing the sights and roasting our meals over the open flames of our campfires. Anise's BnB4Pets is the first home we've inhabited since June 1, and we truly felt at home here.
The environs are warm and inviting, and Stephanie has an uncanny way of making her guests feel like old friends. The special little touches like the cabinet full of books and movies, homemade coffee cake and doggie biscuits, and the little doggie welcome mat really make it hard to leave. But all good things must come to an end, and the open road calls us once again. We'll go south to Nebraska, then west to Wyoming and wind our way to Gunnison, Colorado before we reluctantly return to our jobs in Missouri on August 8.
Thanks to Stephanie for the hospitality, site recommendations and good talks - oh yeah - and the great food! We will return.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with Stephanie and her pack. This is a wonderfully peaceful place and it is a great place to recharge one's spirit after being in a very busy world.
The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable! We really liked the special touches that Stephanie provided.
The food has been outstanding! There was nothing Stephanie made that we didn't gobble up! The coffee cake made an excellent treat after a nice hike up at Custer State Park.
Little Tread enjoyed his stay very much, too. With all the doggy friends running around and playing, he came to bed worn out like a kid spending a day at an amusement park. It was such a comfort to be able to go out for a hike, knowing that Tread was safe and well-care for. I'm sure that his experience has helped all three of us to heal and bond after the loss of our Little Tzusie (who would have liked it here, too - she'd have "hung out" with "Tread's bigger brother," Fergus).
We will definitely be coming back here - there is so much to do in the Black Hills that our 4-night trip couldn't possibly cover it all. Great hiking and sight-seeing (it's not that common where we come from to have a bison walking down the middle of the road, right at us)!

We're repeat visitors! We had such a wonderful time here last year at this time that we had to come back! This visit definitely did not disappoint us. Our "pack" has increased to include Daisy & Maggie (along with Tread), and once again, lots of playing left them all happily spent at the end of the day.
Since we did a lot of sight-seeing last time, we were able to slow down & take it more easy this time. Dear Stephanie, Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay this past Tues. The kids and I had such a nice, relaxing rest. Rusty loved the homemade dog biscuits, and we enjoyed the fruit and coffee cake for lunch at a wayside on the way home.
We were wondering if you would share your recipe for the egg bake dish and the ham and cheese scones. The kids and I thought the whole breakfast was wonderful, but the kids just loved the egg bake and scones, and would like me to try to make them at home. We arrived Saturday afternoon not knowing what to expect. Sometimes pictures on the Internet are better than the real thing. We were pleasantly surprised to find everything even better than we hoped for. The accommodations were so beautiful and comfortable. The boys (Dogger and Max) have a great fenced play area. Everything is very clean and well kept. The coffee cake Stephanie made is out of this world. The boys loved the doggie treats.
Stephanie is very helpful in knowing all the local attractions. We visited several today (Sunday). The view from our porch is breathtaking. We are leaving early this morning. This week has been both mentally and physically healing. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for us animal and nature lovers to enjoy!

Day 1 - Evans Plunge - Kids loved it! Mammoth Site - Interesting for the entire family! Pioneer Museum - More history there than a 15 year old could stand, but the rest of us totally enjoyed it.
Day 2 - Devil's Tower - Your advice to eat at Isabellas in Newcastle was spot on! They had to roll us out we had eaten so much! The "tower" itself - cool, weird and awe inspiring. In other words...neat. Oh yeah, the drive through the Black Hills National Forest - the bison, prairie dogs, scenery was great!
Day 3 - Mount Rushmore - We missed the turnoff to Hwy 87 but the rest of the route really sharpened Scott's driving skills. Better than the Mamba at Worlds of Fun! The monument, the best.
Day 4 - To South Dakota Air & Space Museum - Lots of planes! Great to see, but at the same time terrible to see all the history sitting outside in South Dakota winters. Some bizillionaire needs to step up and build a hangar!
Best of all was the knowledge that Piper was being looked after by a true animal lover! Thanks for the place to stay, the advice about what to see and do, and the love for Piper. Sincerely,

George, renowned motorcycle riding Basset Hound, made a special appearance at the Wild Burro bookstore to share the story of his life (from Basset Rescue to local celebrity) and personally sign his books. All proceeds were generously donated to the Spay/Neuter program of the Fall River Humane Society. Needless to say, our guest suites have autographed copies of George's books.

We have but one regret about staying here - our visit was only for two nights! Had our plans allowed it, and we know now how wonderful this place is, we would have stayed longer. We very much enjoyed our stay at Anise's B&B for People with Pets. We selected this B&B because Stephanie could take care of our dog Lilly while we explored the area between Hot Springs and Sturgis. And the pet accommodations are great... inside and out. I was impressed by the large and very clean fenced play area. Stephanie clearly cares about the welfare of ALL her visitors, people and pets. Our dog is generally a little cautious, but Stephanie quickly brought her out of her shell. For people, Stephanie provides more amenities than we had time to take advantage of... in addition to a large bedroom, private bath, and private dining area, there is a large whirlpool tub, movies to watch, and even microwavable popcorn and cocoa -- which you can prepare in your personal kitchen area when you return after a day of hiking. And we had plenty of energy for hiking... Stephanie's breakfasts are generous and delicious. Furthermore, she was very flexible, providing a late or early breakfast to work around our schedule. We might have to visit Hot Springs again just to stay at this B&B; I'm sure there is more for us to see.

After full days of sightseeing (Rushmore, Custer, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, Wind Cave, Badlands, Sylvan Lake & much exploring trails with the dogs), it was comforting to know that our quiet fireplace retreat was awaiting our return. We enjoyed watching your dogs as well as the nearby wildlife.

This is a beautiful place. I feel silly without my doggy. I like that the place is very clean and Stephanie is really nice.

Everywhere I went I found "Welcome RMI" signs and I was very impressed with the number and quality of volunteers you had working with you. I especially enjoyed my interactions with Stephanie Anise of Anise's BnB4Pets (where my dog had a relaxing stay while I worked!), Jeanie Tiff with Red Rock River Resort (a great massage), and the staff at The Mammoth Site who ran me through a quick tour in the bit of time I had available.
