STRIPPED GEARS
1989 Chestnut Stallion
Sired by Streakin Six one of the greatest stallions in race horse and barrel horse history and his dam Overdrive
Annie being a race horse herself with a speed index of 92 and earnings of $22,163 Gears has a pedigree made of
gold. Overdrive Annie is also one of best brood mares in Quarter Horse History producing 8 Race Register of
Merits and multiple AAAT race horses. Stripped Gears would have been another of her great progeny except for
fate.
As a weanling he had his hip broken in the growth plate. Due to extenuating circumstances he was donated to
research to a veterinarian school. He was never expected to survive. But his heart was so great that against
the odds he survived. And a year later after a lot of surgical procedures including pins and plates he was put
up for auction. But his story did not end there. He was sold again to W. R. Thompson who stood the stallion
for several years. At the age of 12 he came to live in Wyoming with us. And here is where he has found his
last home.
Gears has sired AQHA and APHA Race Rom Earners and Point Earners, Barrel Futurity Money Earners, Cutting
Futurity Earners, AQHA Performance Point Earners, Barrel Racing Money Earners, Team Roping and Team Penning
money earners.
